Dr. Daniel Botkin wants to put the science back into the discussion on global warming, which he thinks has been shaped by poor methodology concerning the correlation between temperature and climate modeling. He will give a historical perspective to global warming and an overview of the types of studies that measure it. He is professor emeritus in the department of ecology, evolution and marine biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His latest book, “Power to the People: Solving Our Energy Problem,” discusses how to solve our energy problem through use of other energy sources.
